Everything you need to sit down at the table with confidence. Card values, scoring, third-card logic and how points work on the platform.
ArcadeVirell runs a version of Punto Banco Baccarat. Two hands are dealt each round — one for the Player side and one for the Banker side. Your job is to predict which hand lands closer to a total of 9, or whether they tie. That's really all there is to it at the core level.
You don't play the cards yourself. The dealing follows a fixed set of rules, so there's no strategy involved in the draw itself. The decision sits entirely in where you place your wager before the cards come out.
Face cards and Tens count as zero. Aces count as one. Everything else — 2 through 9 — carries its pip value. When the total of a hand exceeds 9, you drop the first digit. So a 7 and an 8 make 15, which counts as 5. A 4 and a 6 make 10, which counts as 0.
Pick a side — Player, Banker or Tie — and set your point wager using the controls. Minimum is 10, maximum is 500 per round.
Four cards come out, alternating between Player and Banker. Each side gets two cards face-up. Totals are calculated immediately.
Depending on the totals, one or both sides may draw a third card. This follows the standard Punto Banco tableau — no player decision involved.
The hand closest to 9 wins. Your wager is settled based on the outcome — earned points go straight into your balance.
If either hand totals 8 or 9 after the initial deal, it's called a "natural" and the round ends right there. No extra cards.
When that doesn't happen, the Player side draws a third card if their total is 0 through 5, and stands on 6 or 7.
The Banker side is more complicated. Whether the Banker draws depends on the Banker's own total AND the value of the Player's third card. Here's the breakdown:
| Banker Total | Draws When Player's 3rd Card Is | Stands When |
|---|---|---|
| 0 — 2 | Always draws | — |
| 3 | Anything except 8 | Player's 3rd is 8 |
| 4 | 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 | 0, 1, 8, 9 |
| 5 | 4, 5, 6, 7 | 0, 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 |
| 6 | 6, 7 | Everything else |
| 7 | Never draws | Always stands |
If the Player side stood (didn't draw), the Banker follows the same simple rule: draw on 0–5, stand on 6–7.
All wagers on ArcadeVirell use virtual points — doubloons, if you like the pirate flavour. They carry no monetary value whatsoever and can't be exchanged for anything outside the platform.
Wager 50, earn 50 on a Player win.
Same payout as Player side.
Wager 50, earn 400 if both sides match.
When a Tie occurs and you wagered on Player or Banker, your wager is returned — no points lost that round.
Every new account starts with 1,000 doubloons. If your balance drops below 10, the platform resets it back to 1,000 when you start a new round. There's no penalty for running low — it's an entertainment platform, not a competition.
Points track your activity and let you climb the leaderboards, unlock avatar accessories and participate in seasonal events. They exist purely within ArcadeVirell and hold zero value outside of it.
There's no rush. Take breaks between rounds, check in with the history panel and keep things relaxed. The table isn't going anywhere.
The Tie wager pays well but hits roughly once every 10 rounds on average. Most regulars treat it as a fun side bet rather than a strategy.
Half the experience is the community. Share your round highlights, swap stories and meet fellow pirates at the table.
You can always step away. ArcadeVirell includes session reminders and the wager caps are there for a reason — to keep things comfortable.
